The Top 5 Website Goals You Need For Success in 2019

Hey guys and welcome to my first video of 2019 I hope that you are feeling super excited for this year. I definitely am. I'm going to be sharing a lot of content here on this channel to help you achieve your business goals. In today's video, I wanted to share with you the top 5 website goals you need for success in 2019.

I also have a free website goal setting workbook for you, so make sure that you stay until the end so that you can grab that. All right, so the first goal that you need to set is:

1. DESIGN GOAL

Do you need to create your website from SCRATCH or do you just need to plan a website makeover?

If here just getting started and building your website from scratch, I recommend that you get started by creating a list of websites that you absolutely love and then creating a second list of all of the features that you absolutely have to have after.

This is just a matter of putting a plan in place and setting an actual launch date. The biggest problem that I see entrepreneurs struggle with is that they let the project of creating their own website drag on way too long. If you would like help getting this done quickly, click the link in the description below. I've got a really quick and easy way of doing this and you can try it for free.

2. CONTENT GOAL

I highly recommend that you share some kind of content on your website that positions you as an expert in whatever it is that you do. So here you need to decide what type of content you're going to share. It can be:

  • Videos

  • Blog Posts

  • Podcast

It really doesn't matter just as long as you are sharing some kind of content on your website. I would love to hear which one you plan on sharing. So comment below and let me know what it is.

3. TRAFFIC GOAL

Which is how many people are actually visiting your website. So how are you going to drive traffic to your website? My favourite ways, our content marketing and social media.

So if you weren't convinced about creating content in the last step, here is another reason to do so. And I wanted to share some numbers for you that you can actually work towards if you are just getting started.

And then a great first milestone to work towards is 1000 visitors.

4. EMAIL GOAL

So building your email list is actually one of the main things that you want your website to do. So how are you going to grow your email list? One of my favourite ways to do this is to offer something in exchange for an email address.

You'll see this be called:

  • Content Upgrade

  • Lead Magnet

  • Free Opt-In

I'm sure there's all sorts of other names out there, but this is a really great way of getting people on your email list, which is going to lead to a lot more sales for you in your business.

Next, come up with the number of emails that you would love to get on your email list.

If you're just getting started, a great first milestone to go for is your first 100 subscribers.

All right, and finally the end goal of it all is your:

5. SALES GOAL

But before you can set a sales goal, you need to figure out what you're going to be selling on your website. Are you going to sell a service or a digital product may be a course or a physical product. There are tons of things that you can sell on your website, so figure out what that is and then you can finally set a sales goal.

If you're just getting started online than I think a great first milestone to go for, it is your very first sale online. After you've had your website for a while, it's going to be much easier to create your goals because you're going to know your conversion rates.

For example, you'll know how much traffic you can convert into email subscribers and how many email subscribers you can convert into customers, but for now you can just get started with these milestones. Remember your website is one of the best tools you have available to you to hit your business goals. So definitely prioritize it this year to get the free goal setting workbook that I promised you.
