I’m on a mission to find the best sales and marketing software for online business owners and course creators in 2025.

One platform that keeps popping up lately is Stan Store. You’ve probably seen it floating around Instagram - it’s clean, simple, and has a fast-growing fan base. Plus, with Steven Bartlett from Diary of a CEO recently coming on board, I can only see it gaining more traction.

In this review, I’ll walk you through:

  • What Stan can (and can’t) do

  • Pricing and plan breakdowns

  • The different product types you can sell

  • How it compares to Kajabi and Kartra

  • My honest take on whether it’s the right fit for you in 2025

Pricing: Creator vs. Creator Pro Plans

Stan keeps pricing simple with two tiers:

  • Creator Plan – $29/month

  • Creator Pro Plan – $99/month

They often run promotions (like three months for $1), which is great for testing it out.

The Creator Plan works if you just want to start selling products.

But here’s the big reason to upgrade to Creator Pro: email marketing.

If you want to send broadcasts, set up funnels, or create automated email flows, you’ll need Creator Pro. That plan also unlocks:

  • Order bumps

  • Affiliate links for your products

  • More contacts (5,000 on Creator vs. 20,000 on Pro)

Product Types You Can Sell on Stan

Stan supports a variety of digital product formats, and setting them up is fast and user-friendly.

1. Coaching Calls

Perfect for service providers or consultants.

  • Integrates with Zoom to auto-generate meeting links

  • Lets you block off unavailable dates

  • Share a booking link so clients can pick a time and pay in one step

2. Online Courses

Stan’s course builder is simple with limited customization:

  • Upload video lessons, text, and downloadable files

  • Make lessons available instantly or drip them out

  • Change basic colors and fonts to stay on brand

3. Webinars

  • Works with Zoom or Google Meet (no built-in live tool)

  • Clients choose from available time slots

  • Great for live workshops or sales presentations

4. Digital Products

  • Sell PDFs, templates, ebooks, guides, or worksheets

  • Just upload the file, set the price, and start selling

5. Custom Products

Ideal for personalized services like video audits or reviews.

  • Add custom checkout fields to collect details (e.g., client’s sales page link)

6. Recurring Memberships

  • Offer ongoing value or content with recurring billing

  • Set pricing to daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly

7. Communities

Stan allows only one community per store.

  • Can be standalone (paid) or tied to product purchases

  • Features: custom cover image, categories, countdowns, upcoming events, resources tab, and product access list

  • Limitation: If you run multiple communities, you’ll need a different platform

Selling Process on Stan

  • Each product has its own checkout page

  • You can link to your full store or directly to a specific product page

  • Store design is minimalist — not for complex sales pages, but quick to set up

Analytics & Income Tracking

  • Income tab: See total earnings, product breakdowns, and customer value

  • Analytics: Basic tracking on visits, revenue, and leads

  • Shows top traffic sources and product conversion rates

Customer Management

  • Customers tab: Tag and segment buyers based on products purchased or actions taken

  • Contact limits: 5,000 on Creator, 20,000 on Creator Pro

Appointments & Referrals

  • Manage booked coaching calls and webinars inside Stan

  • Referral program: Earn 20% lifetime commission for referring new users

Email Marketing

  • All product types include basic email confirmations

  • Broadcasts and automated flows require Creator Pro

  • Flows can include welcome sequences, nurture emails, post-purchase follow-ups, and sales funnels

  • In my opinion, this feature alone is worth $99/month if you want to scale

Auto DMs for Instagram

Stan has an Auto DM feature to send links when someone DMs you a keyword.

⚠️ I recommend using ManyChat instead - it’s fully Meta-approved and allows for more advanced flows without risking your account.

Here’s a video on how to use ManyChat.

Final Thoughts: Would I Use Stan?

For me personally - no. I prefer more robust platforms like Kajabi or Kartra because:

  • I run multiple offers and communities

  • I want deeper customization and analytics

  • I need more advanced automations

That said, I’m impressed with how fast Stan gets you up and running.

If you’re new to selling online and want a simple, all-in-one platform for coaching calls, courses, or digital products, Stan is a solid choice.

💬 Over to you - Are you team Stan or sticking with another platform?
