: Today is the best day ever for Nathan specifically. We’re in Guadalajara right now, and one of the main things that you can do is go on a “Tequila” tour. You take a train and you go to the city of Tequila, where Tequila originated. Tequila is Nathan’s favorite drink, so he is super pumped, and we’re about to go to that now. It looks amazing, it looks so much fun, so stay tuned…

Louise: How pumped are you?

Nathan: This is life changing! Ready to go!

Louise: I don’t normally drink, which can be hard when your partner is Australian. However, on this day, I “gave it a nudge” as they would say down under… and we managed to get the best pic of us ever, right? Lol. Super fun day – would recommend if you’re coming to Guadalajara.

(A few days after tour and webinar)

Louise: So, we’ve been doing tech tutorials for a while, but we’ve decided to switch things up a little bit – partly because now Nathan has joined the team full-time, which means I have a photographer and videographer with me at all times, as we work online and travel the world. We wanted to bring you along, show a bit more behind-the-scenes of the business, and what we’re learning every single week. I’m going to learn, and then share it with you.

With every single one of these vlogs, I want to make sure that they are valuable for you. I’m going to be giving you a lesson every single week that I hope you can take away and apply to your own business.

Don’t Beat Yourself Up

This week I want to talk about numbers. You’ll see in this vlog that I hosted a webinar this week, and I was honestly a bit disappointed with my results - until my friend Heather reminded me, it’s just a numbers game. I think, as entrepreneurs, we often beat ourselves up over the results, but are you actually looking at your numbers, looking at how many people actually signed up for your free training or whatever it is, how many actually showed up, and then how many bought? Before you go ahead and beat yourself up, it might just be that enough people haven’t seen it yet.

: So I’ve got a brand new webinar tonight, and it has taken me so much longer than I thought. I’ve got a huge day ahead of me in order to try and get this done in time - and there are over 150 people signed up.

Nathan: What are you stressing about?

Louise: The internet has decided to disconnect, right before my webinar.

Nathan: Travel life, huh?

Louise: Yes. It’s probably going to be fine, but I still have quite a bit to do on it. It’s just completely disconnected from my computer… it might be working… no, it starts for two seconds…

Nathan: I have faith it will come back on. What time is your webinar?

Louise: 6pm. Just making some Instagram Stories and spreading the word. So far, we have about 150 people signed up, so that’s pretty good, pretty exciting. Now I’m just sharing it out, trying to promote it everywhere that I can. Then I’ve got to get back to putting the finishing touches on it. Because it is brand new, I’m making sure that it is really strong, that I haven’t forgotten anything that I want to cover, and making sure I’m delivering as much value as I can in that time period.

After somewhat of a stressful afternoon, the internet came back to life. We stopped freaking out, and all was well in the world.

: Quick background change, because Nathan’s arms got tired.

Nathan: You were about to give examples on show-up rates.

Louise: Ok. For example, with free training like a webinar – so, you have a landing page where you’re saying exactly what you’re going to teach on that free training – of all of the people that go to that page and give you their email address, you can expect that only 30% of those are actually going to show up for your webinar. Then, of that 30%, it’s likely that only 10% are going to purchase your product.

All I’m trying to say here is don’t jump to conclusions, don’t automatically assume that it’s your product and that nobody wants it, when it could very well be that just enough people haven’t seen your offer. So, look at what the average numbers are in your industry - and by doing this too, it’s also going to let you know exactly where, in your sales process, you need to improve.

I hope this helps. Don’t beat yourself up. It’s very likely it’s just a numbers game.
