How to Create Content When You Don't Feel like Being On Camera

Today’s video is all about how to create content when you don’t feel like being on camera. Let’s be honest, there are a lot of days when you don’t feel like getting on camera and presenting like this. I have six different suggestions for you that are going to help you create content, even without you on camera.

If you are new here, hi, I’m Louise of Louisehenry.com. Here on this channel, I talk all about online business, and creating content online is a huge part of that, so that is why I am doing this series. If you’d like to catch all of those videos, make sure that you hit Subscribe down below.

#1 – Create Off Camera Content

The first one is just to create content that is off camera. For example, I created this piece of content, which just required a journal and my hand. So, how can you get creative and think of an object that you could film and create content that way? This is particularly great for Instagram Stories and Instagram Reels, where content like this can do just as well.

#2 – Screenshare

The next one is to screenshare. You can easily share trainings and tutorials with your audience, if you screenshare on either your computer or your phone. If you’re using your computer, then I would highly recommend the app Loom – I’m obsessed - it’s wonderful. If you are using an iPhone, this functionality is built in.

I have trainings on both of those, so I’ll link to them in the description down below. There is so much that you are doing right now in your business or life that would be so helpful to others, so you can just turn on screenshare and then you don’t have to worry about showing your face.

#3 – Use Screenshots

The next one is to screenshot any conversations. Often times, I’ll get questions in my DM’s, and I’m sure you do as well, so you can actually go ahead and just type out your answer and then share that as an Instagram Story. Think about what other moments throughout the day you could simply screenshot and then turn it into content.

#4 – Create Slides

The next one is slides. This is a great way to give information in a clear and succinct way, without requiring your face. I would highly recommend using the tool Canva for this. It’s going to allow you to create really professional-looking slides. You could even record your slideshow and then share a video.

#5 – Animate Graphics

Actually, speaking of Canva, this leads me to the next one, which is animating graphics and sharing this. For example, I created this one here, which allowed me to hype up the doors opening for one of my online programs.

#6 – Repurpose Content

Finally, this last one – and more of a life hack - is repurposing content. I will often scroll through my camera roll, see what’s there, and simply repurpose it again. I think, so often, we put pressure on ourselves that it has to be “in the moment” content, it has to be what we took that day – but no. You can repurpose content, photos, videos that you have taken before and maybe not shared - or maybe you have, but people’s memories aren’t that great and you can go ahead and share it again.

For example, I once created these Boomerangs of myself, and I have used them on so many different days, for so many different reasons. I would highly recommend, when you are filming and doing something like this, saving the original before you add any text or captions, and then you can reuse that again and again - which is great for the days where you don’t feel like being on camera.

Those are my suggestions and examples for how to create content when you don’t feel like being on camera. I hope that this has given you a few ideas, and I really hope that this video comes back to your mind on the next day where you don’t feel like creating content but you have to put something out.

Thank you so much for watching this video. Let me know what you thought in the comments down below, and I will see you real soon with another video.
