How to Create a Custom Short Link

Hey guys, in today's video I wanted to show you how to create a custom short link.
First, let me give you an example of when you would use this. I recently did a promotion and wanted to lead people to my sales page, but the link was super long (https://solopreneursidekick.teachable.com/p/website-that-wows-live).
So instead, I shortened it and I created this link (bit.ly/liveround) which is much shorter and easier to remember.
So all people needed to do was go to bit.ly/liveround and they would be led to the sales page.

Written Instructions:
The way that you're going to do this is they're going to use a tool called Bitly.
1. Go to bitly.com and create an account
2. Click "Create Bitlink" and paste in your long url.
3. Customize the bitlink to say what you want it to (there is a chance the one you want may be taken so you might have to get a little creative here)
4. That's it! Now, you can just give out the short link and people will be redirected to the longer URL.
This makes it even easier for your customers to know where to go!
You can also check link stats and see how many times someone has clicked on that link as well as see where those clicks came from.
