Welcome to Day 1 of the 30-Day Audience Accelerator – I’m so excited to be doing this with you 🙌

 

Today is all about setting the foundation. No pressure to post yet. Just getting a few key pieces in place! 

 

Before we dive in, I want to share how I think about content as a course creator. 

 

We are not here to chase likes or go viral. We are here to connect with the right people. I want you to create with your ideal client in mind – the person who needs your online course. The goal is to just start showing up – connecting, and helping that person.

 

It is not about perfection (that's boring anyways! 🥱)

 

At the beginning, this will likely feel a little uncomfortable. That’s normal. You’re building a new skill, and right now, you just need to put the reps in. So I want you to define success as – did I complete the daily action step? (and we'll have time to catch up if you ever miss anything!)

✨ Step 1: Setup Your Instagram Account

 

If you already have an Instagram account and you’re happy to use it for your online course business, great – you can stick with that one and move on to the next step.

 

If you don’t have an account yet, or you want to start fresh, go ahead and create one now:

 

Go to Instagram.com > Click Create new account > Follow the prompts to set it up

 

When choosing your username, keep it simple.

 

Ideally, this would be your name or business name. If your full name isn’t available, that’s totally fine. You could use something like:

 

  • itsyourname

  • heyitsyourname

 

Don’t stress about making this perfect – you can always change your username later. 

 

 

💬 Step 2: Optimize Your Profile

 

The goal of your profile is to:

 

Help the right person instantly understand what this account is about – and how it will help them.

 

For your name field, enter your name + what you do. E.g. Louise Henry - Online Business Strategist (64 character limit). 

 

For your bio, you want to include two key things:

 

  1. The big-picture outcome you help others achieve

  2. Your angle, philosophy, or way of doing things (what makes your work feel different)

And here's the thing: you will make so many more course sales if you prioritize clarity.

 

Use this ChatGPT prompt to help write your bio: 
 

I am building an online course business.


The big-picture outcome I care about helping people create is: [result / lifestyle / transformation]


My approach or philosophy is different because: [your angle or belief]

 

Please write 3 Instagram bio options that:
– Stay under 150 characters
– Lead with the outcome
– Sound clear, calm, and human

 

For your profile photo, choose a clear image of YOU. It will be small on Instagram, so you want to zoom in on your face. 

 

Don't worry about a freebie or link yet. 

 

Here's mine for example:



💬 Step 3: Find a Carousel Template in Canva You Like! 

 

For the last step today, we’re picking a design you can use for text-based content.

 

Head to Canva and browse their carousel templates here:

Your goal is simply to:

 

  • Find one carousel template you like

  • Choose something that feels easy and flexible

  • Pick a layout you can imagine yourself actually using

 

You’re welcome to:

 

  • Adjust the colors to better match your brand

  • Swap fonts if you want

 

Simply choose one that works for now (you can always change it later). 

 

Once you’ve found a template you like in Canva, you’re done for today 🙌
